Set the Default Job Costing Type

You set the default costing type to either Charge band (cost based on the activity) or Allocation resource (cost based on the resource rate). You use this procedure to set the default job costing type.

To set the default job costing type, complete the following steps:

1. Click Menu > Admin > Company Management.
2. Click Configure Company Details.
3. On the General tab, in the Default Job Costing Type section, select one of the following:
   • Charge Band (cost based on the activity).
   • Allocation resource (cost based on the resource rate).
4. Click Update Agency Details.
